About us

The Mayor’s Academy Programme has been created to help the hospitality industry as well as those Londoners hardest hit by the pandemic. It supports adults into good work, such as direct employment, apprenticeships, traineeships, or self-employment/ freelance work, and aids the recovery and the long-term economic growth of hospitality in London.

Lewisham College Hospitality Hub provides skills and work-based training programmes to create opportunities for Londoners to have a successful career in hospitality. Lewisham College also offers a wide range of training and support to help people get into work.

The Hospitality Hub have partnered with organisations and employers, working with them on short-term and long-term plans to raise the profile of the industry, promote it as a great career choice and make the hospitality sector more inclusive.

The Lewisham College Hospitality Hub offers a range of services to help you get the right training and good work opportunities. This includes:

  • Personal development and employability skills sessions, including customer service, first aid and communication.
  • Information, Advice and Guidance and careers events and 121 sessions
  • Introductory courses and access to specialist training, work experience and apprenticeships
  • Flexible study options to fit in with your circumstances
  • Access to a named tutor and mentoring opportunities
  • Masterclasses, careers events and employer networking sessions
  • Hospitality and jobs fairs attendance across London
  • Support finding job vacancies and writing a CV, cover letters and job applications
  • Help to identify and apply for financial support or bursaries
